✨ In Haitian culture, the “lakou” is much more than a communal living space. It is an idea that guides how Haitian people show up for each other and for themselves. The “lakou” is also a space for learning the wisdom that you need to heal yourself. For Haitians in the Dyaspora, the “lakou” plays an even more essential role of helping folks heal the disconnect that comes from being physically away from the land of Ayiti.
✨ Join us on Monday, April 28th (6:00 – 9:00 pm) at KJCC (located at 53 Washington Square South) for an immersive evening of tapping into different healing modalities of the Haitian Dyaspora. Guests will be able to participate in the following activities:
✨ Flower essences workshop & presentation with Linda Duverné Founder of Sajès Living
✨ Haitian candle carving & essential oils workshop with Haitian artist Riva Précil
✨ Haitian Tea Workshop
